Who I am
My website address is: https://www.emilyjosephinewrites.com.
What personal data the server here collects and why it collects it
When visitors leave comments on the site, the server automatically collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on this site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so the server can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), the server also stores the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data the server holds about you, including any data you have provided here. You can also request that I erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where the server sends your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
This is just a simple author’s blog. Aside from your information in a comment, the only data collected is if you sign up in the sidebar to receive new post in your e-mail inbox. I, Emily, the author of this blog, do not receive your e-mail address via that subscription form. Your e-mail is collected within the server, through the RSS feed, and held there so that you can receive instant notification every time I publish a new post.
It is NOT an e-mail list, as from Aweber or MailChimp, where I would have direct access to your information. Even if it were, I wouldn’t do anything with it, because I strive to live the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I don’t believe in selling other people’s info or otherwise manipulating or taking advantage of it.
